Support the North East Cyber Awareness Project (NECAP)
The North East Cyber Awareness Project (NECAP) is empowering communities across Meghalaya through digital literacy, cyber safety education, and online trafficking prevention. The initiative equips students, youth, women, teachers, and community members with the knowledge and skills needed to stay safe in an increasingly digital world.
Through workshops, awareness campaigns, and community outreach, NECAP helps people:
- Recognize and prevent online scams and cyber threats
- Use digital tools and online services safely
- Protect their privacy and personal information
- Identify online grooming and trafficking risks
- Report cybercrime through official channels
- Build safer and more resilient digital communities
Over the next three years, the project aims to train 30,000 people directly, reach 200,000+ citizens through digital campaigns, establish cyber volunteer networks, and strengthen cyber safety awareness across Meghalaya.
Your support can help provide:
- Cyber safety workshops in schools and communities
- Digital literacy training for youth and women
- Anti-human trafficking awareness programs
- Educational materials in local languages
- Community cyber help desks and volunteer networks
- Safe online learning opportunities for vulnerable communities
